The 2021 film Eternals follows ten immortal beings protecting humanity from Deviants, only for them to discover they were sent to prepare Earth for the birth of a new Celestial, Tiamut. As the team splits on whether to allow the planet's destruction, they fight their loyal teammate Ikaris, and Sersi eventually turns Tiamut into stone to save the world. While some Eternals leave to find others, the remaining group is confronted by their creator, Arishem, who vows to judge humanity's worth.
