If your update process stalls or gives you a generic error message, open this .txt file and scroll to the bottom. Look for any lines containing the word "Failed" or "Error."
If an update fails, the log will record a specific error code (like 0x800... ), which is vital for troubleshooting why a certain patch didn't "take."
Before running the UpdatePack, it is highly recommended to temporarily. The log often shows failures caused by antivirus software blocking the integration of system files.
